The United Kingdom’s advertising regulatory body recently censured several prominent gambling entities – LottoGo EuroMillions, William Hill Vegas, Betfair Bingo, and Dunder. These firms were identified for displaying advertisements within a mobile game favored by children, Looney Tunes World of Mayhem. In essence, the promotions bypassed safeguards as they were integrated into a mechanism where users could acquire in-game bonuses by viewing them. The implicated companies have emphasized that this was unintentional, attributing the lapse to external advertising networks and implementing measures to avert recurrence. The application itself also faced criticism for inadequate filtration of such adult material, although this problem has allegedly been resolved.
