With the Cheltenham Races nearing, online wagering platform BetUK has revealed the addition of recently retired soccer star Adebayo Akinfenwa as its newest brand representative.
Nicknamed “The Beast” for his imposing build, Akinfenwa’s collaboration aligns with BetUK’s largest promotional effort ever for Cheltenham. The firm is presenting a ‘Wager £20, Receive £60’ offer for the festival, commencing on March 14th.
Akinfenwa, whose last team was Wycombe Wanderers, will be the face of BetUK’s Cheltenham initiative across their marketing platforms. He joins champion jockey Peter Scudamore and former England footballer Teddy Sheringham as a BetUK ambassador.
Matt Bramley, UK Chief for BetUK, stated: “Everyone loves Bayo, right? Our most substantial Cheltenham Festival campaign yet required our most significant representative yet, making him the ideal match for our most awaited race meet of the year. We’re thrilled to have Bayo with us.”
Akinfenwa remarked: “Whoever claimed size is irrelevant was untruthful! I’m eager to partner with the BetUK squad for the Cheltenham Festival and I’m confident we’ll have a powerful beginning on March 14th. Let the races commence!”
Prior to commencing, Scudellari will impart his wagering insights and tactics on the “Scu Selects” audio program, an essential listen for individuals aiming to participate in the excitement.
For those unfamiliar, BetUK is a component of the LeoVegas Gaming group, which was lately acquired by the casino powerhouse MGM Resorts International.
