AstroPay, a fintech firm, is increasing its payment link offerings further into Latin America by making them available to small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia. The corporation initially tested this initiative in Brazil in late 2021.
AstroPay’s payment link feature enables business proprietors to receive payments online via a link distributed to clients or through their cell phone numbers. This simplifies secure payment acceptance for businesses, while consumers can pay in their local currency or USD.
Latin America presents a substantial market potential for AstroPay, as the quantity of SMEs in the area expanded by almost 11% between 2020 and 2021. In Mexico and Peru alone, SMEs constitute 99% of all businesses.
Mikael Lijtenstein, AstroPay’s Chief Executive Officer, emphasized the significance of offering reachable online payment solutions for smaller enterprises, remarking: “Numerous micro and small businesses are unable to satisfy the volume requirements necessary to make accepting credit card payments financially practical, so they require online payment choices that not only unlock a realm of fresh revenue channels and prospects but also enable them to contend with bigger corporations.”
Payment gateways are revolutionizing commerce, particularly for smaller enterprises. Their simplicity and affordability are unmatched. AstroPay’s solution excels at providing a seamless and cost-effective transaction process for consumers – fast, effortless, and budget-conscious.
